    Infants Receiving a Single Dose of Nirsevimab to Prevent RSV

    Nirsevimab is given to infants during their first year to prevent RSV. In the past, RSV immunizations caused the babies to have a higher risk of illness in their second year. A study was done to show that  Nirsevimab does not cause this problem, and that infants who got Nirsevimab had the same rate of  infections the following year as children who didn’t get Nirsevimab.
