Section 27

As we indicated above, we oppose having quality control conducted by the National Transplant Center. The IMA position is that quality control of the work of doctors must be conducted exclusively by professionals who are also doctors, as is customary in enlightened states. Accordingly, the end of the section should be deleted, starting from the words: “and its outcomes; the Director General of the Center…”.

Reports concerning the outcome of a transplant as well as additional information will be transferred to the professional committees of the relevant organ. This procedure will provide the ability to monitor transplants and the transplant procedure on the one hand, while at the same time quality control will not be conducted by individuals that are not professionals in the field.
