Services provided to scientific unions and companies by the IMA
These services are provided to 52 unions, 42 companies, 66 groups and subsidiaries, 2 organizations and 8 union branches - a total of about 170 bodies within the IMA.
The basket of services provided to unions includes the following:
Legal services
- Contracts and general legal support with commercial entities, service providers, ISPs and others.
- Representation vis a vis state authorities (income tax, social security, registrar of non-profit organisations, registrar of databases, etc.)
- Election monitoring
- Online election mechanism
- Establishment of associations, groups and societies within the IMA framework
- Updating Policies
- Employment of union secretaries
- Opening of union bank accounts
- Training on good governance
Communication and publishing services
- Advertise in "Harefuah" and on the IMA website
- Coordination of national press and television responses via the IMA spokeswoman
Support the production of position papers and informed consent forms by the Medical Policy department
- Establishment of a steering committee
- Accompanying the discussion process
- Technical services (proof-reading, print production, mailing and advertising on selected IMA groups)
Database management by members of the IMA service centre
- Managing the information database of IMA association members
- General information center regarding IMA associations/societies and their activities
- Manage and update membership lists
- Production of union committees reports
Bookkeeping and accounts services by the Finance Department
- Manage collection of membership fees from members of IMA associations
- Issue annual tax to members
- Support in daily contact with the bank, maintaining the public finances
- Investment advice for surplus funds
- Preparation of annual reports
- Assistance in acquiring legal bookkeeping certificate, tax exemption and sponsorship
- Manage salaries of association secretaries
- Care of scholarships and awards
- Research Fund Management
Mailing services
- Mail services – transmitting mail initiated by the associations via regular mail, fax or e-mail
Support in organizing conferences and seminars
- Check suppliers offer before conferences
- Pre-registration assistance in cooperation with the association in preparation for conferences
- Use of conference rooms at the IMA premises, light - sound technical support for important meetings
