    The Legal Department

    The responsibilities of the Legal Department include legal counsel (labor relations) and retirement advisory services to IMA physicians; assistance to IMA departments in all legal matters; legal counsel to decision making level concerning IMA policy; following collective and fundamental legal claims filed by the IMA, the Organization of State Employed Physicians and the Organization of Kupat Holim Employed Physicians; involvement in medical and health system legislation through participation in Knesset committees and various forums; formulation and dissemination of IMA and Scientific Council position papers.

     

    The Department is headed by Ms. Malke Borow, Attorney at Law. Ms. Lea Wapner, Attorney at Law, serves as IMA legal counsel (as well as IMA Secretary General).
