Effectiveness of the specialist certification in Israel for a physician who specialized abroad -
The title of specialist in Israel is effective from the date of the application for the title or the date of completing the specialization requirements of the Scientific Council (completing the specialization/ passing the exams/ completing any courses, and so on), whichever is the later.
If the physician’s overseas specialization is fully recognized as well as the exams taken overseas, the status of specialist will be calculated from the date of receiving the title of specialist overseas.
In this case, in addition to the date of receiving the title in Israel, the date of the overseas title will also be indicated.
