    June 2022: German Medical Association and Israeli Medical Association - Joint Board Meeting

    On June 21st, a delegation from the Israeli Medical Association (IMA) travelled to Dresden to meet with our colleagues at the German Medical Association (GMA).  In 2015, on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations of the states of Israel and Germany, the German Medical Association and Israeli Medical Association met to pay tribute to the cooperation and friendship that have developed between our associations. To continue this tradition, another meeting was held in Israel in 2018 and now once more in Dresden.

    This year’s bilateral meeting focused on the theme of Continuing Medical Education (CME). A workgroup session was held on the first day at the State Chamber of Physicians of Saxony Offices. The participants discussed a proposed memorandum of understanding which pledged mutual recognition of continuing medical education certificates. Both associations presented how CME is regulated in their countries.
