The IMA-WF responds to attacks on Israeli medicine in medical journals and medical organizations, pressures international conference to allow the participation of Israelis and provides Israeli doctors working abroad with a Public Relations Kit to combat misinformation about Israel. IMA-WF members abroad are alerted to any attacks on Israeli medicine in the medical press and medical arena. These activities have resulted in overwhelming support for Israeli medicine, including a demand to stop the call in 2007 for a boycott on the IMA and Israeli academic institutions, and another demand not to expel the IMA from the World Medical Association (WMA).
