23. IMA-WF chapters represent the local organ of the IMA-WF, and their function is to promote the policy and decisions of the IMA-WF institutions and to encourage local scientific, social and cultural activity. In addition, the chapters shall handle matters related to their members that are not addressed by other bodies within the IMA-WF and which are of a local nature.
24. The IMA-WF shall allow a group of members in any country to form a sub-chapter affiliated to the country chapter or an independent organization. However, there shall be only one officially recognized chapter per country.
25. Any existing organization of physicians may join as an affiliated organization to the IMA-WF. However, members of such organization may not be elected to executive positions within the IMA.
26. The IMA and the IMA-WF shall serve as a central base among all chapters.
