    The Israeli National Academy of Medicine celebrated its fifth anniversary with an amazing conference-Clinician-scientists: the untold stories. 

    Highlights included:

    1. AI in Health Systems: Prof. Ran Balicer discussed the integration of AI into health systems, emphasizing its potential to enhance patient care and operational efficiency, while Prof. Simcha Yagel showcased innovative approaches to improve maternal and fetal health outcomes through the use of AI and Moshe Philip portrayed its use in developing innovative medical products.
       
    2. Genetic Data Insights: Prof. Shai Ben Shahar focused on translating genetic data into clinical insights, which could lead to personalized medicine strategies.
       
    3. Brain Medicine: Prof. Tamir Ben-Hur addressed preventive strategies for Alzheimer's disease, Dr. Renana Eitan explored the transition from psychiatry to neuropsychiatry and Dr. Nurit Omer presented new approaches to the treatment of Parkinson's Disease.
       
    4. Global Health Challenges: Prof. Siegal Sadetzki and others discussed the impact of pandemics and climate change on health, with a unique perspective by Dr. Nir Rudoler from the Kidron Veterinary Institute on the "One Health" approach to zoonotic diseases.

    Other sessions included bio-convergence, stem cells and cell therapies and omics in translation, with a special session dedicated to our Young Academy, presenting their unique mission and showcasing some current research projects of their members.

    Our keynote lecturer, Dr. Qanta Ahmed, delivered a powerful speech on her experiences as a Muslim physician after October 7 and her attempts to raise world awareness to what occurred, providing a unique perspective on the intersection of medicine and social issues.

    The conference fostered rich discussions on the future of medicine, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the integration of technology in healthcare, and presented invaluable networking opportunities.
