Prof. Jacob Bornstein received the grant thanks to his study of the processes that lead to chronic peripheral pain following a repeated infection.

Prof. S. Nahum Goldberg received the grant for his study on the effect of molecular and cellular mechanisms due to invasive evolution on colon cancer metastases in the liver.

Prof. Jean F. Soustiel received the grant thanks to his study of the involvement of the 1TRPV receptor in mitochondrial dysfunction that leads to neuropathic pain.

Prof. Benjamin Reubenoff received the grant for his study of human embryonic stem cells as a basis for the model and discovery of new medicines for widespread damage to the white matter in the brain.
