A “passing grade” on the Internship/Licensing exam is 60%.

After receiving the final results and confirmation from the Exam Committee (up to 60 days from the committee’s discussion of the exam results), examinees will be able to check their score on the IMA’s website.

An announcement on the precise date of publication will appear on the IMA’s website, with a link from the home page. An official notice about the exam results will be sent via email following publication of the results on the website and their certification by the chair of the Exam Committee. 

The Exam Committee will notify the Ministry of Health’s Medical Professions Licensing Department of the exam results (“pass” or “fail”).

An examinee whose grade on the exam is between 55 and 59 may appeal the results of the exam.

Pursuant to a district court recommendation, the IMA Scientific Committee and the Ministry of Health discussed the issue of “Nullification of questions and awarding of points for them” and determined that examinees taking the Licensing/Internship exam (beginning in 2014) are entitled to points for alternate correct response choices accepted as such for a given question, providing that the examinee correctly selects one of the alternate response choices deemed correct before or after the appeal, and would be entitled to points for that question.
