A physician certified in another country who wishes the Scientific Council to discuss recognition of his/her certification in Israel, should submit an application to the Scientific Council through the online system in Hebrew or in English, along with the required documents appearing here.
A separate application must be submitted for each specialty field/s.
Two committees of the Scientific Council will review the application and come to a decision reflecting the requirements of the Council for examinations, minimum work periods in Israel and required courses:
- A professional committee relevant to the requested specialty.
- A designated exemptions committee for phase B examination.
The formal decision will be issued in writing via the online system where the application to the Scientific Council was submitted. This decision is valid for 5 years. After that period, the physician must submit a renewed application to the Scientific Council.
After receipt of the first application, a service representative of the Scientific Council who is handling the application will contact the physician via the online system to clarify any details and complete any additional documents.
Attention
An application can be submitted to the Scientific Council even before arrival in Israel for assessment of the documents.
