The IMA's welfare department is responsible for ongoing contact with the members of the organization, and the development and provision of services to physicians in various fields. The department offers a range of activities and services to physicians in the fields of welfare and leisure, including joint activities with the Consumer Club. "Yahad", courses and seminars, providing special financial assistance for the needy and more.
Below is a list of services provided by the welfare department:
- Personal service to members of the IMA
- Collecting membership fees
- Updating databases (producing and issuing membership cards, forms, statistical analyses and more)
- Development and production of activities for pensioners during the year, including retirement preparation courses
- Medical insurance: accident and disease insurance, nursing insurance and supplementary insurance (as a benefit included in membership fees)
- Activities in conjunction with "Yahad" - a physician club, in the field of culture and leisure.
- Organizing a retirement planning courses and activities for retirees
- Offering special financial assistance to those in need within the framework of the mutual assistance fund
- Cultural/welfare activities for physicians, such as: discounted tickets for children’s plays
- Activities of IMA committees such as the education committee and the discount committee
- Focus on the prevention of violence against doctors
