We maintain that formulating regulations in this matter requires consultation with and agreement of the Israel Medical Association, which is the professional-scientific physician’s representative organization. It is inconceivable that regulations will be formulated without consulting and hearing the professional entity, such as the Transplant Society (an organization recognized by the IMA).
Furthermore, we believe that this will contribute to ensuring that the regulations will address the situation in the field and the needs arising from transplant procedures and their implications. The perspective of experts in the field is crucial to this matter.
